Boats

Help for choosing, running, and maintaining
your ProDrive boat.

X-Series boats are built with marine-grade 5086 aluminum and a reinforced internal structure that includes:

  • Full-length welded ribs
  • Cross-bracing every 10 inches
  • Fully flush, wall-to-wall floor (no raised obstructions)

This construction delivers long-term durability while maintaining a clean, open layout for usability in the field.

The X-Series is specifically engineered to maximize surface drive motor performance.

Unlike many boats that become too heavy or unstable, the X-Series maintains:

  • Proper weight distribution
  • Stability under load
  • Efficient power transfer

This ensures the boat isn’t underpowered and performs as intended in shallow water environments.

Traditional hard chine boats can slide at higher speeds—but the X-Series solves this with a triple taper chine design.

This design starts at the bow and gradually transitions toward the rear, creating a balance between:

  • Stability in turns
  • Smooth handling
  • Predictable control at speed

The result is a hull that keeps the performance benefits of a hard chine without the common drawbacks.

Through extensive testing, ProDrive found that flat bottom, hard chine designs run higher and draft less water than round or semi-V hulls.

This design also delivers:

  • Better speed
  • Increased load capacity
  • Tighter turning
  • Improved control at idle (especially in timber or tight marsh areas)

The X-Series is built for maximum shallow water performance, combining speed, handling, and load-carrying capability. It’s ideal for operators who want a responsive, efficient boat that runs higher, drafts less water, and performs consistently across tough conditions.

The SBX can be upgraded with the TD Edition, which incorporates additional structural and performance enhancements from ProDrive’s TD platform.

This option is available on most SBX models, though certain larger configurations require dual engines and may not support the TD upgrade.

The SBX Series is available in multiple lengths and widths to match different hunting and utility needs, including:

  • Lengths from 17’ to 22’
  • Bottom widths from 48” up to 72”
  • Wider beam options for added stability

Each configuration affects weight, handling, and load capacity, so most customers choose based on how and where they plan to run.

SBX boats are built using marine-grade 5086 aluminum with a reinforced internal structure that includes:

  • Full-length welded ribs
  • Cross-bracing every 10 inches
  • Closed-cell foam (non-water absorbing)
  • A fully welded and pressure-tested subfloor

This construction delivers a quiet, smooth ride while providing strength that goes beyond typical factory-built aluminum hulls.

The SBX’s elevated floor sits above the natural waterline and includes rear scupper outlets that allow water from rain, splash, or waves to drain out automatically.

Even in heavy rain or after taking on water, the system continuously clears the cockpit—so you spend less time worrying about water and more time running your boat.

The SBX Series is the only aluminum hull of its kind built with a fully self-bailing cockpit, meaning water that enters the boat naturally drains out—even when sitting still.

It also features a fully welded, sealed, and pressure-tested floor system, giving you a safer, drier ride in rough or unpredictable water conditions.
